Senator Cynthia A. Villar author of the Republic Act (RA) No. 11511, an act amending the Organic Agriculture Act of 2010 or RA 10068 gave her keynote message. The PGS has opened opportunities for our small farmers to practice organic farming, promote and sell their organic crops via an alternative cheaper cost of certification (P600 to P1,200 per product ) vs. the expensive third party certified agri products (P100k-P120k per product) by establishing a core PGS group among other organic practitioners. Also present was RTD Milo R. Delos Reyes from DA-Calabarzon represented by Mr. Arnaldo P. Gonzales(OA Alternate Focal Person).
