The Agriculture Training Institute and the Congressional Oversight Committee on Agriculture and Fisheries Modernization conducted a two-day workshop at the Villar Sipag on the topic Enhancing the Role of Farmers Organization on October 23-24,2014 where Senator Cynthia A. Villar was the keynote speaker and ATI Deputy Director Renato Dela Cruz as the welcome speaker. The program director of the event is Usec Edel Guiza of the Presidential Assistant on Food Sufficiency and Agricultural Modernization and the Asian Institute of Management. The theme is partners in poverty reduction and effective governance of the P4MP and the Magsasaka Siyentista or MS organizations. The more than 80 participants from all the regions also explored the different livelihood activities in Las Pinas City for possible replication in their locality.
