While at home during this times we can start a home garden. It is an important supplemental source contributing to food and nutritional security of our family, and leisurely take away our stress. Vegetables like tomatoes, okra, talong, siling haba on small plots can be grown adjacent to our home. It used to be the oldest and most enduring form of cultivation. For centuries, home gardens have been an integral component of family farming and local food systems. Home gardening is an ancient and widespread practice all over the world. A home garden is also called garden-kitchen, backyard, a hobby area. Vegetables can also be grown in containers like old pots, water container gallon, styroboxes as long as there are holes where water can flow. There are many advantages to growing plants in containers, namely:
Less risk of soil-borne disease.
Virtually eliminate weed problems.
Mobile plants gives more control over moisture, sunlight & temperature. Just a thought.
