Senator Cynthia Villar mobilized civic and government agencies by providing a clean environment, and breaking the cycle of disease and bring dignity to people when they defecate. In August 17, 2017 at Baseco, Brgy. 649, Manila with the support of the Bureau of Soils and Water Management (BSWM) to establish container gardening and Mangrove planting with local residents, and NGOs, together with the Dept. of Health - NCR headed by Dra. Corazon Flores and DSWD-NCR, they will put up toilets in one thousand houses and a centralised sewerage system. This is to address the residents lack of access to toilets and adequate sanitation facilities. This lack of access is a primary cause of water contamination and water-borne diseases.
