March 20,2017 Senator Cynthia Villar, author of the Farm Tourism Development Act or Republic Act 10816, is the keynote speaker. She talked about government's recognition that tourism coupled with agriculture extension services, can disseminate the value of agriculture in the economic and cultural development of the country, provide additional income for farmers, farm workers and fishermen and serve as catalyst for the development of agriculture and fisheries.

She believes that continuing education and training is the key. That family farms shall feed the world and its growing population.
